During a training session near Gojubavi village in Pune district, an aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing, leading to injuries to both the trainee pilot and instructor. The incident occurred at around 8 am and involved a Tecnam aircraft belonging to Redbird Flight Training Academy. This marks the second such incident involving the academy's aircraft within four days, as another training aircraft had crashed during a session earlier in the week.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a statement confirming the emergency landing and the safety of both the instructor and trainee. Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the incident. These two recent accidents highlight safety concerns and questions regarding the training protocols in place at Redbird Flight Training Academy.
